Erenshor Hardcore Mod (BepInEx Plugin)

This Mod is still being developed and tested. It has the ability to delete characters if you turn the option on in the config. Use the Mod on your own risk. I will not be able to restore ANY characters for you. Look into the RespawnPatch if you want to see the source code of the deletion.

🛡️ About

The Erenshor Hardcore Mod introduces a true hardcore mode to the game Erenshor.
Once your character dies, they are permanently locked and cannot be played again.

• ☠️ Permadeath: Dead characters can no longer be used.
• 🔗 Steamworks Integration: Ensures each character is linked to a Steam account.
• 🚫 No Second Chances: Death is final. If you die, it's over!
• 💾 Secure Storage: Uses JSON to track character status.

⚙️ Installation

Requirements

• BepInEx 5
• Erenshor (Steam Version)

Installation Steps

1. Install BepInEx by placing it into your Erenshor game folder.
2. Download the latest Erenshor Hardcore Mod release from GitHub Releases.
3. Extract the mod into Erenshor/BepInEx/plugins/.
4. Launch the game in Steam.

🛠️ How It Works

• Every new character is registered and linked to the player's Steam account.
• Existing Characters should not be affected by the mod (PLEASE LOOK AT THE CAUTION UPTOP)
• If a character dies, they will be locked while the mod is installed.
• In the config is an option that hardcore characters will be permanently deleted, once they die
• If Steam is not running, the mod will prevent the game from launching.

❌ Uninstalling

To remove the mod:

1. Delete the ErenshorHardcore.dll file from BepInEx/plugins/.
2. Remove the hardcoreCharacters.json file from the configured directory.
3. Restart the game.

Warning: Uninstalling does not revive dead characters!
