The Armaguerra Model 39 was Italy's official semi-automatic rifle going into WWII; however, it was adopted so late that when the war started, all production was prioritized on the Carcano rifle. Only a small batch of rifles were made, both in 6.5x52mm Carcano and the newer 7.35x51mm cartridge that Italy was trying to switch over to.
