Nambu_LMGs

The Nambu LMGs replaced the earlier Type 11 LMG due to reliability and practicality issues; while they superficially resemble the Bren gun, these LMGs developed indepently. The Type 96 fires the lighter 6.5x50mm cartridge, while the Type 99 fires the larger 7.7x58mm cartridge.

In addition, both guns are compatible with the type 30 bayonet.
