The BEST Sniper of WW2Details
Swedish M/41B Sniper Rifle
A Swedish Mauser rifle that was hand picked to be fitted with scope mounts for sniping uses. Sweden was slow to realize that a sniper rifle was urgently needed and looked to remedy the problems, oddly enough by contracting an optics company in Germany to fill their scopes to mount on the rifle.
Only a small handful of these were made and then re-made for the B variant, which was considered to be a post-war version, by swapping out the normal ladder sight with a dial style sights. Functionally it is a Mauser but a Swedish touch, by chambering in 6.5 Swedish!
The mounting block on the side allows the installation of the AJACK Scope, a 4x magnification scope with a German style reticle post. However like most rifles of its kind, putting the scope disallows you to use any stripper clips, so single loads only!
