Random Horn Sounds Mod

Description

This mod replaces the Airhorn sound effect in the game with over 100 different sound effects. The sound effect changes every time a new level seed is loaded.

Note: The current version does not randomize the sound every time the Airhorn is used, but future updates may include this feature. This initial version is designed for fun and variety for you and your friends.

Features

  • Over 100 unique Airhorn sound effects.
  • Ability to add your own custom sound files.
  • Sound changes with each new level seed.

Custom Sound Files

You can upload your own sound files for a more personalized experience. However, please note that other players using the mod will also need these custom sound files.

Guidelines for Custom Sounds:

  • Original Sound File: Name it as OriginalSound.mp3.
  • Far Sound File: Create a variant named OriginalSoundFar.mp3.
    • The Airhorn uses two sound files: one for close proximity (OriginalSound.mp3) and one for distant sound (OriginalSoundFar.mp3).
    • Use an audio editing tool like Audacity to reduce the volume of the far version by at least 10 decibels for a realistic effect.
    • The naming is case-sensitive: use "Far" not "far". Variants like "OriginalSound-Far.mp3" or "OriginalSound_Far.mp3" are acceptable.

Acknowledgments

Big thanks to my girlfriend for the idea and her support in developing this mod.
