Lost Yi
Gives Yi a fresh new look, where every fiber of his being entertwines with forsaken black threads of Void. Almost fully compatible with New Kunlun.Details
Lost Yi, Augment of The Void
Heavily inspired by the Lost Hornet skin mod from Hollow Knight: Silksong, Yi gets lost in the Void and lets it take over, augmenting his powers (just visually!). The pack features a custom hold talisman animation for Qi Blast and Full Control.
- This version, 2.0.0 is the full release, compatible with most of what New Kunlun has to offer.
DEPENDENCIES
Requires Yukikaco's CustomSols mod to work: https://thunderstore.io/c/nine-sols/p/Yukikaco/CustomSols/ (and implicitly, the Nine Sols API). BepInEx's Configuration Manager is highly recommended.
INSTALLATION
In the .zip file, you will find a folder named "Lost Yi". Place this folder in "[Your Nine Sols game path]\BepInEx\Config\CustomSols" alongside the other folders, Default, ExampleAllUse and so on. After booting up Nine Sols, press F1 to open the configuration manager, then under "CustomSols 1.0.0", at the "Select Skin" dropdown click on "Lost Yi" and wait for the game to load it. It may take several seconds, or even minutes for lower end PCs, as there's over 1000 sprites in the pack. Do not panic because of the longer load time, it's basically like a Minecraft texture pack but for Nine Sols!
KNOWN ISSUES
-
As it turns out, not every sprite can be modified this way and some are, what I believe to be, rendered as cutscenes. The Fusang Horn teleport animation, as well as Yi's idle animation during the cutscene before Eigong's fight, certain visual effects during various actions such as the Qi Blast, healing with the pipe, using the charged attack in the air and a few others will cause minor visual problems and flash/show off some of Yi's original colors/sprites. I'm really sorry if they break your immersion, I really couldn't fix these. Now that the full version is complete, I realized there's a lot of places within New Kunlun and animations which I cannot edit by ordinary means, so as far as I'm concerned, every single issue/immersion break can be considered known as I've edited just about every sprite that both found in my pack and used ingame.

I also couldn't fix certain green-ish visual effects from some of Yi's skills and moves. I tried, for the most part, to make them white/light grayish, but the game applies an overlay effect and other visuals to them. I am pretty sure this requires mods to fix.

If you count visibility as a known issue, this is being worked on, as a high-visibility version with a soft white outline around every sprite is due for release. The release date for the high-visibility version is not yet known!
