This mod speeds up the New Sirocco questline by making production buildings better and reducing the construction time and cost of all buildings.Details
Faster Sirocco
Summary
This mod aims to make the Sirocco questline faster and less tedious by improving the usefulness of stone and wood production buildings and increasing the construction speed for all buildings. I tried to only reduce the grind and waiting times while keeping food consumption, upkeep, and housing requirements unchanged to preserve the need to manage the food and income of your town.
Detailed Changes
-
Improved Mason and Woodcutter buildings: In the vanilla game, the base buildings take over 200 days to break even on the value you spend on them. The upgrades never break even, because they lose you money every day. With this mod, the base buildings break even in about 35 days, and each upgrade in about 40 days.
- Increased produced units:
- Base Building: 4 -> 8
- First Upgrade: 6 -> 14
- Second Upgrade: 8 -> 20
- Decreased upkeep:
- Base Building: 25 -> 10
- First Upgrade: 50 -> 20
- Second Upgrade: 75 -> 30
- Reduced funds required for construction from 2500 to 1000 for the base building and 500 for the upgrades.
- Increased produced units:
-
Reduced construction time: Construction time of all construction phases is reduced by 25% and capped at 7 days to reduce the amount of time spent waiting. As a result any building phase will be finished after going to Josef Dumas and choosing "I'd like to spend a week helping with the construction tasks".
-
Reduced construction cost: The funds required for constructing base buildings are reduced by 20% and for upgrades by 30%, so you don’t need to grind for money as much.
-
Adjusted blueprint descriptions: Updated all in-game blueprint descriptions with the new values (this also fixes some incorrect descriptions in the vanilla game).
-
Additional sample drops: To help you find the Rare Materials needed for special buildings and to reward players for exploring each of the major dungeons for the first time, the mod adds some samples to the loot tables of the unique enemies in Caldera.
- Appended loot table of: Cracked Gargoyle, Quartz Elemental, Volcanic Gastrocin, Grandmother Medyse and She Who Speaks

Compatibility and Recommendations
This mod should be compatible with all mods that do not modify assets of existing Sirocco buildings.
This mod and the required patch should be safe to install or uninstall mid-playthrough without issues. When this mod is uninstalled, all buildings will revert to their vanilla behavior. But I would recommend backing up your save file when changing mods mid-playthrough anyway.
To reduce the amount of sample grinding even more, I recommend installing the mod CalderaSamples by Tchernobill. The mod activates all four sample rotations all the time, this way there are many more samples to find in the world.
If you want to go beyond the building limits imposed by the game you can use the building helper from Sinais Utility Pack. However this can cause bugs for some quests as described on their mod page, so I recommend using the building helper after finishing the Sirocco questline.
