Lunar Ritual is a mod for Risk of Rain 2 that introduces a persistent currency and a ritual system that allows players to start each run with powerful bonuses.
The mod adds a new meta-progression mechanic called Genesis Shards, which are stored between runs and can be spent on powerful Lunar Rituals before the run begins.
You can config some parametrs using RiskOfOptions menu:

Genesis Shards
Genesis Shards are a special currency added by the mod.
- They persist between runs
- They are spent to perform rituals
- Rituals provide items, stat bonuses, or other rewards
Ritual System
At the start of every run, you will be prompted to perform one ritual.
Each ritual has three offering tiers:

|---|---|
| Small Offering | 1 coin |
| Medium Offering | 5 coins |
| Grand Offering | 10 coins |
The higher the offering, the stronger the reward.
Rituals
Ritual of Essence
Receive a random item based on the offering amount.

Ritual of Ego
Grants stacks of the lunar item Egocentrism.

Ritual of Blessing
Grants a permanent stat bonus.
Possible flat stats:
- Base Damage (+5/15/25)
- Movement Speed (+1/2/3)
- HP Regen (+5/15/25)
- Max HP (+50/100/500)
- Defence (+50/100/500)
The strength of the bonus scales with the offering size.
Ritual of Lightness
Grants stacks of Hopoo Feather.

To build the mod from source run (libs required):
