A simple mod for Touhou: Lost Branch of Legend.

Adds a button to the new game screen to let you do a "Daily Run": this just picks a character at random and generates a seed, both based on the current date, meaning it will be the same character and seed for everyone each (UTC) day.

This is meant to let different players do the same challenge as each other and compare their runs.

FAQ

Will the randomizer pick modded characters?

No, this will intentionally only pick between Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Cirno and Koishi. The intent is that everyone who plays a daily run with the same version of this mod will get the same thing.

How does this interact with rngfix?

From my own testing, there's no interaction. This only affects what happens before a run (the character and seed you pick), while rngfix only affects things during a run.

You may want to consider ensuring everyone in your group is using rngfix for daily runs anyways, since even runs with the same seed tend to diverge. But I didn't want to enforce this, since it wasn't a priority for this mod.
