The whiplash but it doesn't whiplash. If you get what I mean.

I was curious to see how the game would be without the whiplash's biggest draw, that being the pull towards heavy targets. It doesn't immediately cancel, so you can do tech like Whipjumping, it just takes a little bit of timing now. The reason I wanted to try this out is because I personally feel like the whiplash takes attention away from the other movement mechanics in the game, and can easily be spammed, so by 'nerfing' it like this, I'd be demanding more effort in movement from the player.

This doesn't change how the whiplash works against Light enemies and Hookpoints, so don't worry about any sort of whiplash parkour that may be impossible now (well, any whiplash parkour that doesn't include an enemy.)

Changes

  • When reeling into a Heavy enemy (Malicious Faces, Cerberuses, Guttermen, etc.), the whiplash line breaks briefly after.

Installation

Install r2modman and install plugin through mod manager.

Manual Installation

  1. Install BepInEx and run ULTRAKILL once.
  2. Drag the "WhipTap" folder into ULTRAKILL/BepInEx/plugins.
  3. Launch the game.
