# TheDonegalProject(SW): Sliabh Liag
A true-to-scale Valheim map based on southwest Donegal, Ireland.
It features the iconic **Sliabh Liag cliffs**, early biome layout, and a coastline inspired by real-world geography.
## Features
- Heightmap based on real Donegal terrain
- Designed for immersive roleplay and exploration
## Requirements
This mod requires **BetterContinents** to function.
It will be installed automatically as a dependency when you download this mod from Thunderstore.
## Installation
1. Install this mod via Thunderstore (BetterContinents will be installed automatically as a dependency).
2. Launch Valheim.
3. Place the included config file into your Valheim configuration folder:
This ensures the Donegal Project presets work for the landscape and terrain of the map.
4. You can set the directory paths for the heightmap and biome map in two ways:
- **Directly in the config file** (BepInEx/config/BetterContinents.cfg) by editing the directory option.
- **In-game** using the **Configuration Manager** mod, which allows you to adjust the directory option through the UI. Just Copy The Donegal projects path/directory from your plugins folder and paste it into the directory option.
When all this is done, create a new world in Valheim.
6. In the world generation menu, select the "From Config" Option
7. And the map will load correctly
⚠️ **Important:** The config is tuned specifically for Donegal’s geography. Changing these settings may alter the look of the landscape and break the intended design.
## Future Plans
- Refined heightmaps with biome accuracy
- Expanded coverage of Donegal regions
- Integration with BetterContinents
