This is a custom modded magiceffect and loottable patch of epicloot from Randyknapp. Warning: This version does has removed enchanting tables and adventure mode. Loot is drop only or in chests.
This mod patch is an attempt to streamline the loottable and their magic effects for 1,2,3,4 and 5 star enemies. With 10 stars acting as minibosses. This has been achieved by balancing item power with excel sheets and play testing. The powerscaling of the dropping gear should feel like it fits with your current biome content.
Play this with https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/Smoothbrain/CreatureLevelAndLootControl/ The loottable is created for 1-5 stars. And 10 stars. (none from 6-9) Mob level suggestion:"24,12,6,3,1.5,0,0,0,0,0.5". I recommend to make boss spawns start at 2+ stars. The droprates are balanced around fighting mobs and bosses, so it is recommended to disable enchant table and adventure mode. The experience should be entirely droprate related.
The lowest gear tier "magic", roughly strengthens you so that fighting a 3 star enemy, feels like fighting a 2 star enemy. Full rare gear strengthens you so that a 4 star, feels like fighting a 2 star, and epic gear so that a 5 star feels like 2 star. Legendary so that 5 star feels like 1-2 star , and mythic 0-1 star. There is variance in the item power levels.
Gear drop rate is reduced alot to compensate, but most gear that actually drops should be much more usefull.
Physical magic effects on weapons such as bluntdamage, slashingdamage, piercingdamage etc. is removed as rollable affixes; since they blur the identity of the weapon. The visual look of the weapon should reflect its damage type, with its strengths and weaknesses.
Instead, all weapons will roll 'ModifyPhysicalDamage', increasing base damage by a certain percentage, which is tuned and balanced to your current biome. Average damage increases are 37,5% bonus for magic, 75% for rare, 115% for epic, 160% for legendary and 220% for mythic.
Bonus armor % is likewise always rolled on gear, with 72,5% bonus armor for magic, 135% for rare, 225% for epic, 325% for legendary and 420% for mythic.
