This item came about because a fellow player performed a concert by using a guitar with a whole song as its swing sound effect. The idea is that swinging it will cause a song to play! Right now, several songs are available:
Because this mod is tied to a weapon swing sound, ANYONE using the weapon will cause music to play for EVERYONE ELSE. The best ways to use this mod are as follows:
A recent change made it safe to jump attack with the boombox, though I still advise trying not to be a nuisance with it.
Because of the potential for misuse of this mod, it is not recommended to play with it active in public servers, as it is impossible to control the behavior of others. For this reason, Homebrewery is not listed as a dependency (so that it does not end up included in everythingbrewery).
This mod exists for novelty and not for serious use. If you install it, you are assumed to understand the risks. The best way to not get griefed is to not have this mod active before you go into multiplayer.
The boomboxes cannot be obtained from Skrit. You will need to obtain it through manually editing the param.txt files on your end to make them un-secret. This is done to ensure you understand the risks of using the boombox, and to mitigate the ability for people to grief easily.
