Did you start a Dyson Sphere Program save in peace mode and later wish you hadn't? This mod lets you turn the Dark Fog on — and gives you full control over how aggressive they are.
Search for Dark Fog Awakening and click Install. Done.
DarkFogAwakening.dll into BepInEx/plugins/DarkFogAwakening/.Load your peace-mode save. A window will pop up in the middle of the screen. Click Awaken the Dark Fog, then confirm. That's it.
This cannot be undone. The fog does not go back to sleep.
Press F10 at any time to open the settings window.
You can change settings before awakening to set up the run exactly how you want, or after awakening to tune things on the fly if the Fog is too easy or too brutal. Hit Apply Now and changes take effect immediately — no save/reload needed.

| Initial Growth | How built-up the hives already are when they first appear. |
| Initial Colonize | How much territory the Fog has already claimed at the start. |
| Max Density | How large the swarms can get — bigger numbers mean bigger raids. |
| Growth Speed | How fast the Fog gets stronger over time. Crank this up for a race-against-the-clock feel. |
| Power Threat | How much your power production attracts attention. High energy output = more attacks. |
| Battle Threat | How much the Fog escalates when you fight back. High = the more you kill, the angrier they get. |
| Battle XP Gain | How quickly the Fog levels up from fighting you. High = they evolve faster and field tougher units. |
All values use the same scale as the game's own difficulty sliders. The Reset to defaults button in the settings window restores everything to vanilla Normal difficulty.
