Quixotic is a rundown I made for my friends featuring what I consider to be some of my personal favorite aspects of vanilla and modded GTFO. Each level I pushed myself to learn new things and introduce new ideas. This rundown has a little something for everyone! I still have much to learn so please feel free to leave feedback.
The obstacles you face are like a puzzle, and your actions have real consequences that impact later levels. This rundown isn't meant to be hardcore to gatekeep players, but it also isn't meant to be super easy either. Quixotic currently features 8 expeditions, with more planned! You can expect custom alarms, tiles, enemies, and a unique short storyline--all tuned to be something that might've fit into the vanilla game.

Sniper
- Reverted to pre-R8 stats
- Changed recoil to be halfway between R7 and R8's recoil values
Scattergun
- Reverted to pre-R8 stats
HEL Heavy SMG
- Replaces the Heavy SMG with ThyUnsus's HEL Heavy SMG:
- Moved to the Special weapons category
- Swapped sight
- Increased clip size
- Increased ammo capacity
- Slightly increased damage
- Decreased fire rate
- Overpenetrating rounds (2 pierce)
High Cal Pistol
- Now has overpentrating rounds (2 pierce)
Revolver
- Increased precision multiplier to 1.0x
- Reverted reload to pre-R8 animation
Arbalist Machine Gun
- Reduced reload time from 3.5 to 3.1
- Slightly increased ammo capacity
Heavy Assault Rifle
- Increased ammo capacity from 119 to 149
- Slightly reduced reload time
Precision Rifle
- Increased preciscion multiplier from 1.3 to 1.5
- Increased clip size from 10 to 12
Burst Cannon
- Reduced clip size from 20 to 18 (it bothers me)
Shotgun
- Slightly increased ammo capacity
Combat Shotgun
- Increased clip size from 12 to 20
- Increased ammo capacity
Burst Pistol
- Increased damage from 3.2 to 3.34
- Increased precision multipler to 1.0x
- Slightly increased fire rate
HEL Autopistol
- Replaces the Machine Pistol
- Reduced clip size from 60 to 55
- Increased damage from 1.5 to 1.75
- Slightly increased fire rate and reload time
PDW
- Increased damage from 2.15 to 2.42
Assault Rifle
- Increased damage from 2.18 to 2.669
- Reduced clip size from 30 to 28
- Reduced reload time from 1.8 to 1.56
- Slightly increased fire rate
- Slightly reduced ammo capacity
Bullpup Rifle
- Reduced reload time from 2.3 to 1.97
Burst Rifle
- The sight is now thermal
DMR
- Increased precision multiplier to kill Strikers from a headshot
- Reduced clip size from 12 to 10
Double Tap Rifle
- Incrased ammo capacity from 135 to 149
Short Rifle
- Moved to the Main weapons category
- Replaces the Rifle
- Increased precision multiplier to 1.3x
- Reduced ammo capacity
Sawed Off Shotgun
- Reduced clip size from 4 to 3 (it also bothers me)
- Reduced reload time from 1.6 to 1.33
HEL Shotgun
- Reduced shotgun cone size and bullet spread
- Increased damage from 1.67 to 2.27
- Reduced reload time from 3.0 to 2.2
Slug Shotgun
- Greatly increased fire rate
- Increased clip size from 6 to 8
- Increased precision multiplier to 1.2x
- Reduced reload time from 2.5 to 2.0
Big Shooter
- Now has a chance to fire an additional volley of projectiles
Big Charger & Striker (Reactor)
- Slightly increased speed
And currently features 6 custom enemies!
Giant Scout
- 184 HP
- Heavy, moves slower and doesn't stagger much
- Fires a variety of projectiles
- Extends significantly more tendrils than a normal Scout, further and higher
- Summons more enemies than a normal Scout
Shooter Fast
- Shooter variant of Striker_Wave_Fast used in Reactors
Custom Shadows
- Shadow Shooter
- Shadow Zoomer Scout
- Shadow Baby
- Shadow Mother
ThyUnsus - Begrudgingly teaching me half of the things I know, making custom geos, and letting me use his HEL Heavy SMG from Madness.
