The Hamada pistols are Browning-style pistols that were made during the War to help supplement Japan's supply of sidearms. They arrived late in the war and in small numbers than the Nambu pistols, but were more reliable.

The Type 1 is a clone of the FN1910 and is chambered in .32 ACP. The Type 2 is in 8x22mm.
