The jump from the beta testing vocoder darth vadar tts hotmod, to 15.ai, to uberducks, Elevenlabs, and even RVC Google Colabs... It's easy to get left behind with how rapid this forbidden fruit is growing.
And here I am taking another bite at it.
It had to happen at some point. I think the tipping point was when someone praised the Lois TNH Announcer in a BoZiffer H3VR reddit thread, a random comment completely unrelated to the video. That really just hiked up my heart and scrambled all my priorities around...
I wanted to do it all over again. 500+ voicelines, some new, some old, all redubbed for the love of the character, for the love of a game that I started way way back in 2021.
I've even considered voicing the lines myself but Elevenlabs... It can now do a better job then I ever could provide in cadences and charm. I've actually had a lot of fun experimenting the new modularity features in this AI tech, and it has allowed the voicelines to be even more... Perfect, so to say.
So perfect, there's no way I could ever best it.
This is a situation unique to only Lois because on one hand, emotions and delivery skyrockets to peaks I've never seen from an AI generated voiceline site before, but on the other, it won't even sound like her at all, should it be cranked to max emotion value. The RVC masking part saves it and sets it back to that desired voiceline with minimal loss in emotions / expression.
It's quite the metaphor when I think about it. Having something sound so alluring and yet, you know what it actually is.
ELI5, I can only do this best-of-both-worlds AI inferrence for Lois. There cannot be a remaster of equal quality for the other announcers, this level of fidelity is solely for this mod... And I'm fine with that. I don't have the passion that I did for these announcer mods then when PTNHBGML first became a thing, nor do I wish to embarrass myself in making another yapper mod with obvious glaring issues, be it the voice delivery or my script writing itself.
Lois II is a full circle moment, where we started and supported the original, gave it so much love with constant expansions, just to rewrite it all over again with a tidy scrub of polish. It will still have that noticeable tone of electric fakeness to it, that of which has been with Lois since the first edition of the announcer (it is a part of her charm at this point), but by god she's never been so god damn kyuuute before ahhh I just wanna squish her virtual cheeks!!
X out all the rest of the announcers because Lois is so back, babey.

Voices for this announcer were made with Elevenlabs, further proofed out by IA Hispano's Applio-RVC-Colab App (since elevenlabs creative mode would often mix other voices with Lois to achieve a desired effect, double AI layering was required)

Thank you Potatoes for creating PTNHBGML, this platform has allowed me to rewrite this game into my own version of paradise. I still enjoy making mods for it, all these years later. Thank you for accepting my silly announcer bounty way back in the day, because it's kept that creative spark in me going all these years later.
V1.1.0 -- Added more token lines and more hold reminder lines
In case it wasn't obvious, the hold advance lines have been completely muted, and token lines have taken their place as a means to have Lois yapping. No talking with no point now, anytime she speaks, she has something worth listening to. That being said, if the game awards you more then 5 tokens, it appears that the announcer won't mention it. I don't think this is a bug with PTNHBGML, moreso an oversight on Antons part cuz the vanilla announcer will do the same thing.
Default TNH Character pays more then 5 tokens after the third hold what the heck.
If Potatoes can somehow make the 5 tokens voiceline work for cases where you win more then 5 tokens after a hold, the voicelines I have for this announcer should account for that.
Just a little something that peeves me now that I'm giving the tokens lines attention.
