Whatever the case, I went and googled every single item and changed their weight values accordingly, they now make more sense than before.
Somewhat, most items almost weigh nothing so it is easier to loot but then there are a few scrap items that are very heavy so it sort of balances out. On the bright side, most items got light enough to be carried accross the dreaded Adamance bridge. Meanwhile changes to V-types and large axles made Experimentation, Assurance and Offense worse.
