Your character will have access to a total of 20 basic skills (breakthroughs, initial and story line skills do not count towards this amount). at any time you can choose to discard the knowledge of these skills in order to learn new ones.
Through the Expertise Handling skill you can convert your expertise gained from defeating enemies into great expertise, a valuable resource that can be exchanged for influence or used to craft powerful scrolls that permanently improve your character's physical and mental characteristics.
