Caldera Tweaks

Adds/changes Ark of the Exile Rotations, Lightweight kits, Expedition (Evangeline), Sample Weights, Calygrey Arena Rewards, Quest Rewards, Shortcuts, Stash in Giants Sauna. All additions/changes are configurable.

1 Download BepInEx
2 Download Outward Config Manager
3 Unpack the contents of the zip file into the ...OutwardDefinitiveEd\BepInEx\plugins\permittivity-calderatweaks

Information

Adds/changes Ark of the Exile Rotations, Calygrey Arena Rewards, Lightweight kits, Expedition (Evangeline), Quest Rewards, Shortcuts, Stash in Giants Sauna. All additions/changes are configurable. They can be adjusted and completely turned off.

Ark of the Exiled

Always changes rotation (clockwise) every 2 days. Randomness in the pattern anymore. The current position is calculated from the current day number.

Lightweight kits

More ways to get the lightweight kits have been added to the game. You can get it from legacy chesting a cooking pot or an alchemy kit. You can also get them from the new sirocco general store, food store and the alchemy store.

Expedition Rewards

Expedition rewards have been tweaked. The major change is that ore samples are good at returning funds (5000 funds) as opposed to other samples at the drawback of weighing more. However, all resource rewards can be tweaked.

Sample Weights

The weights of Ore Samples (from 6.0 to 4.0), Molepig Specimens (from 6.0 to 2.0) and Plant Samples (from 6.0 to 1.0) have been changed.

Calygrey Arena Rewards

Now can drop rare resource/building materials like chromium shards, petrified organs, etc.

Quest Rewards

The fund reward on the quest 'From the Ashes' have been increased (from 5'000 to 10'000) to smooth the player experience going 'Stealing Fire' which has a huge fund requirement.

Shortcuts

There are multiple shortcuts that have been added:

From Caldera to Grotto of Chalcedony. This is more of an easter egg and shows a part of the cave that's not accessible to the player normally.
The exterior of myrmitaur haven to mainland Caldera. This allows quicker transversal from one side of the map to the main map without having to backtrack through the dungeon. You can access this by walking up and through the hive. It's one of the big holes, and now you are able to climb up and go through it.
From the River of Red to New Sirocco Mines. This allows the player to get the obsidian pet (a requirement for breath of darkness) early as well as speeding up killing scarlet emissaries later into the game.
Refinery Outflow pipe (Exterior). I have created a broken bridge at the outside of the outflow pipe in Caldera so that you can more efficiently path to New Sirocco or east without having to walk all the way around.
Steambath Tunnels to Oily Cavern. Oily cavern gets little traffic and I found it natural to connect these two dungeons. This will also help speeding up transveral in the region.
Tower of Regrets (Exterior). I have added small bridges along the ocean close to the tower of regrets so that you can more easily navigate that side of the map.

Stash in Giants Sauna

You now have the option to access a stash in the Giants Sauna. This means that you can more conveniently do things in Caldera early on in the playthrough.

Config Options

All the features can be toggled on/off and many can be tweaked.
