While designing the concept of this mod, I was inspired by the idea of long-lost civilizations — much like the mysterious Dwemer legacy in Skyrim.
I've always loved the thought that every world might carry traces of a wisdom not its own, and if such mechanisms could exist in one northern realm, perhaps echoes of them still linger somewhere in Valheim.
The Shaper allows you to bring items inspired by distant lands and eras into Valheim. I have strived to integrate this device into the lore as naturally as possible, so it and any atypical gear added to the Valheim setting feel seamless within its universe.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
During his long travels, the Merchant Haldor came across the ruins of the ancient Dvermer civilization in the mountains.
After exploring a small entrance, he uncovered tunnels leading to an entire city, scattered with various mechanical devices and steam engines that still echoed the former grandeur of this ancient people, long faded from the pages of history.Upon looking around, he found a structure where, apparently, various experiments related to space, time, and divine entities had taken place.
“A dangerous game they played back then. This is the fate of those who chose to meddle with the very fabric of the universe…”
— thought Haldor, taking with him a box that lay near the main device in the center of the room.Opening the box, he discovered a dozen gears, capsules, a jar of strange mystical sand from distant lands, collections of ancient tales, and a peculiar sphere emitting a pleasant glow.
Some items appeared to be missing — perhaps scavenged by the creatures that had wandered these halls long before. At the bottom of the box lay a book.
“This unusual book with metal inserts will likely provide answers about the purpose of these items” — thought Haldor, but he hesitated to open the old tome.He had spent his life wandering and survived countless adventures, only to understand that tampering with these things could be dangerous.
Maybe someday, a brave traveler will find Haldor and try to uncover this ancient secret...
