CartBuddy
Cooperative cart-pulling enhancement for Valheim that makes hauling heavy loads feel better, fairer, and more fun, especially with friends.
CartBuddy rewards teamwork by allowing multiple players to assist with pulling carts, improving traction, thrust, and handling without breaking Valheim’s grounded physics feel.
CORE
- Cooperative cart pulling (front + rear helpers)
- Assist-based thrust system that scales naturally
- Optional weight reduction while helpers are attached
- Tuned physics (spring, damping, acceleration) for stability
- Designed to feel vanilla, not arcade
- Fully multiplayer-safe and dedicated-server compatible
- One player pulls the cart normally
- Additional players can hold E to attach and help push
- Helpers contribute force through physics, not raw speed boosts
- Defaults favor assisted pulling over free-run movement
- All effects are subtle but noticeable — you feel the teamwork
CONFIGS
- Assist acceleration strength
- Spring and damping tuning
- Optional cart weight reduction while assisted
- Helper range and attach behavior
- Free-run vs assisted attach mode (advanced)
- Debug / solo testing options (disabled by default)
All configs are server-authoritative.
SERVERS
- All logic runs server-side
- Clients cannot spoof helper force or physics
- Works correctly on:
- Dedicated servers
- Listen servers
- Single-player
- No client-side desync or permanent physics drift
