💀 Fatal Fall
A vanilla friendly, server-authoritative fall damage rework for Valheim.
Fatal Fall smooths out the harsh spikes of vanilla fall damage while preserving danger where it matters.
By default, falls are slightly less punishing than vanilla, but extreme drops can still deal massive damage-or kill you outright (yes, well over 100 HP).
Near-fatal falls can trigger a borderline save, leaving you alive but bleeding, giving you a brief window to react, recover, or make a bad situation worse.
Designed to feel fair, learnable, and to add meaningful depth to fall damage without changing how the game controls or feels.

⚙️ Configuration
Fatal Fall provides configurable options for:
- Fall damage multiplier
- Minimum scaled fall damage
- Borderline save window (HP)
- HP left after a borderline save
- Bleed duration, DPS, and grace period
- Optional popup messages (rotate or random)
- Presets: Casual / Normal / Hardcore
- Debug logging
Notes
- Configuration changes require a game restart
(server restart for dedicated servers)
- Popup visibility and UI elements are client-side
🛡️ Server Admin Notes
- All fall damage logic is enforced server-side
- Borderline saves and bleed are applied authoritatively
- Clients cannot bypass or desync fall damage behavior
- Safe for long-running servers and modpacks
