real damage blocked (value in parenthesis) = shield blocking value * (1 + blocking factor * 0.5) = 50 * (1 + 0.2 * 0.5) = 50 * 1.1 = 55
knockback damage dealt = real damage blocked * blocking factor = 55 * 0.2 = 11 damage

Knockback damage is displayed as grey damage (pointed by orange arrow) when you are blocking with tower shield (Hard setting):

These shields have 10% increase in stamina consumption for run, walk and 25% decrease in speed (vs -20% in vanilla).
